Museum of emigration Malfa Salina

The Museum of Emigration was set up in 1999 with the purpose of preserving and sharing the memories of Italian emigrants overseas, as well as encouraging all forms of cultural exchange through the museum.

It consists of a collection of materials, photos, documents and films aimed at illustrating the causes for the phenomenon of emigration from Italy, and the Aeolian islands in particular, to other continents in the 1800s and 1900s.

The Museum of Emigration is temporarily hosted in the Malfa Town Library in Palazzo Marchetti, Via Conti (seat of the “Didime 90” Association and the “Giuseppina Lazzaro” Centre of Music and Culture)
