Restaurant Maria Tindara is located in the Piano area, 7 km from the sea on the splendid island of Vulcano. Set amid the greenery of a pine wood opposite the majestic crater of the volcano, it has been run by Maria’s family for over thirty years and the cuisine is typically Aeolian. Home-made tagliatelle alla Vulcanara or alla Maria Tindara, lamb, chicken, involtini (wrapped parcels of meat, fish or vegetables) and delicious locally-caught fish dishes are just some of the things to look forward to. Every Wednesday and Saturday evening between June and September there is an opportunity to try out her pasta with beans and mussels, washed down, naturally enough, with local wines. There is a reception room for special occasions and comfortable bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
